What is Integrative Oncology?

An emerging field of holistic cancer care.

The basic definition of integrative oncology can be understood as a patient-oriented, evidence-based alternative field of cancer treatment.

It integrates (combines) conventional cancer treatments (when required) along with scientifically supported holistic treatments, natural therapies, mind/body practices and/or lifestyle modifications from a wide range of traditions.

In short, it can be understood as a perfect synergy of the best of conventional medicine with the best of alternative medicine.

When it comes to Oasis International and our specific branch of integrative oncology it is important to note that our unique programs have been developed and refined over the past 15 years in the United States at An Oasis of Healing.

Thousands of “terminal” patients who were told that there was “nothing left to do” and that they will die came to Oasis with broken spirits and no hope only to return home from Oasis to their families with renewed health and a future. As a result, “Oasis” has become almost synonymous with integrative cancer care, or integrative oncology, having helped people from all around the world.

The founder of Oasis of Healing, Dr. Thomas Lodi, has tirelessly dedicated his life to researching the latest and most effective non-toxic treatments and therapies. He has been permanently based in Thailand since 2012 and has played a pivotal role in establishing several integrative oncology centres in South East Asia.

With Oasis International he is now opening his own independent integrative oncology hospitals and healing centres to ensure that the standard of care and essence of his treatment approach is maintained.
